The media and communication realm has always stood out to me but was afraid to take a risk. In the fall of 2018, I took the risk and changed my degree to public relations.  My first semester was guide and assurance I was in the right field of work. In the spring of 2019, I attended Temple PRSSA's Regional Conference. The conference is where I realized my passion is for diversity, inclusion, and equity.

After the conference, I wanted to be involved in as many public relations organizations as Temple University for the fall of 2019.  I completed my goal of an account associate at PRowl Public Relations and executive-board member of  Temple University's Black Public Relations (BPRS).

PRowl is a student-led firm, where students like myself are able to work with real clients.  Being apart of the firm as an account associate has assisted my writing skills and prepares me for agency setting.

My determination to thrive in public relations resulted in my nomination to attend a conference hosted by  Publicis Media Multicultural Talent Pipeline. The conference is to emerge students in the media industry through diversity, equity, and inclusion.

I started my public relations career over a year ago, but through hard work and determination, I will see the fruit of my labor.
